Conspiracy of mask, ventilator export

NEW DELHI, Mar 23: India is facing an acute shortage of masks and ventilators and still the government issued an order on February 25 to allow their exports, ignoring how essential they were in view of the novel coronavirus.
Belatedly, a notification was issued on March 19 to prohibit export of masks, ventilators and textile raw material for masks and coveralls.
Congress chief spokesman Randeep Singh on Monday condemned the government, saying that "this is criminal cospiracy!"
In a tweet, he said: "As WHO asked for stockpiling of:
1. Ventilators;
2. Surgical masks/disposable masks; and
3. Raw material for masks/coveralls.
India, however, permitted their export (at 10 times the price) uptill 19th March."
Even the March 19 notification did not ban exports of all items as it said other items in February 25 order "shall remain 'free' for exports.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi has narrated on Saturday how the government was limiting coronavirus tests to hardly 15000 in a population of 1.3 billion.
Only late last week, the government realised that limiting the tests by the government facilities won't help as it has now allowed private labs and hospitals to conduct the tests.
Isolation of the suspects is another scandal in Delhi as 15 to 20 people are put in one room that makes them flee fearing that they may attract the virus at a time when the WHO and government calls to maintain distance of one metre between each other.
