8 injured in leopard attack in Kulgam village

Leopard killed by angry mob
SRINAGAR, Apr 2: A leopard entered Khud Hanjipora village in Manzgam area of Kulgam district and attacked eight persons, including women, injuring them critically. The leopard was later killed by the mob.
Police and wild life department officials said a leopard attacked people at Khud Hanjipora village and injured eight persons including a woman identified as Zaina Banoo wife of Sirajudin Sheikh.
The other injured were identified as Abdul Hamid Dar, Aashiq Hussain Naik, Mubarak Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Anis Paray, Aatullah Naik and Mohammad Yousuf Naik all residents of Khud Hanjipora village in Kulgam district.
All the eight injured persons were shifted to district hospital Kulgam from PHC Manzgam for treatment.
The leopard was later killed by local mob. Three days back two persons including a girl were mauled by a leopard in the same area of the same village.
