Covid-19: 26 more patients discharged from JLNM hospital

SRINAGAR, May 23: 26 patients who were tested positive for Corona-Virus in the valley have been discharged from Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) hospital here today taking the total number of infected people discharged so far to 125.
Officials said the total of 125 patients who had contracted virus have been discharged thus far at JLNM hospital Rainawari including fresh 26 who were allowed to go home today after successfully recovering from the deadly disease.
They said the patients were discharged after their repeat tests found negative and were asked to go for 14 days necessary home quarantine.
Confirming the development, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal Chaudary while prising the doctors for their efforts said the only 50 active cases of novel Corona-Virus.
“Good things take time. Srinagar’s 21 COVID+ve persons discharged after recovery at JLNM hospital. Commendable efforts to #BreakTheChain will pay dividends,” DC Srinagar tweeted.
Among 26, 4 are from Shopian district of south Kashmir, 1 from frontier Kupwara in north Kashmir while 21 from Srinagar.
DR Bilquees who is Nodal Officer for Corona-Virus also confirmed that 26 more COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from JLNM hospital. She said with 26 fresh recoveries, the number of patients discharged so far at JLNM hospital reached to 125.
