Seeks evacuation of stranded students

JAMMU, June 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today urged the Govt to come clean on the evacuation of stranded students from different countries to their respective places.
In a statement, JKPCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat has expressed serious concern over the hardships confronting people especially students stranded in Uzbekistan, Krigistan Tajkistan and other foreign country, who have reportedly not been approached with regard to their evacuation, so far.
JK Govt must come clean on this issue, as that, the delay in evacuating them have made their parents more apprehensive about the safety of their wards, who are also running short of money due to the lockdown and urged the Govt to ensure that they join their families.
PCC Vice President expressed dismay over the negligent attitude adopted by both Centre & State, although various groups of students have been brought back, still there are hundreds stranded in different countries, who are in great difficulty and need immediate help, he said.
I would also urge upon the MEA to attach importance to this human crisis, PCC Vice President added and emphasized the JK Govt to take up the matter with MEA inorder to evacuate students from Uzbekistan, Krigizstan, Tajkistan and other foreign countries.
