Removal of 804 newspapers from govt advts denied

NEW DELHI, Nov 20: The central government on Friday denied a claim made in a news article that the government has removed as many as 804 newspapers from the list of those getting its advertisements through DAVP (Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity).
The PIBFactCheck dubbed the claim as "fake." It also denied the article claiming that the government has cancelled titles 2,69,556 newspapers and magazine. No such decision has been taken by the central government, it said.
