‘Space object’ case, 3 arrested for duping Ganderbal man

SRINAGAR, Oct 2: Jammu Kashmir police on Friday arrested three persons who had duped a man by selling a normal stone instead of “Space Object”’.
The trio were arrested after police station Magam received a complaint Friday evening from one Gulam Mohammad Wani of Kurhama Ganderbal who alleged that the three duped him by selling ‘trath gola’ against Rs 4 lakh.
They were identified as Ghulam Qadir Parray, Rafiq Ahmad Parray both residents of Lassipora Drung and Mohammad Aslam Khan resident of Nadihal Bandipora.
The trio duped Wani by selling ‘Heavenly ball’ (Trati Gola) against Rupees 400,000/- at village Badren, but while checking he found it to be a nomal stone.
All the three accused were arrested within 02 hours and Rs 04 lacs of the fake deal were recovered from the arrested persons.
In this regard, case FIR Number 216/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police station Magam and investigations taken up.
Meanwhile, Police have requested General public not to get swayed by these inimical tactics of anti-social elements and cooperate with them to identify such elements who indulge in these activities.
