NEW DELHI, Oct 29: The cinema halls multiplexes in the national capital will run at full sitting capacity from Monday, November 1. They were shut during the Coronavirus pandemic, but allowed to open in July with only 50%.

Delhi's Disaster Management Authority, headed by Lt. Governor Anil Baijal, decided this while putting the onus on the theatre owners to ensure the Covid-appropriate behaviour inside their premises.

From Monday, the number of guests at a wedding has been raised from 100 to 200 while the weekly markets in the capital will also be allowed to open.

The fresh relaxations come amid decline in the Coronavirus cases in the capital. Delhi recorded 42 infections and no death on Thursday. In Delhi, 97% of the population has antibodies against Covid-19, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said, citing the results of the sixth serological survey.

A sero survey tests a sample population in a region to assess whether they have antibodies against a particular infection. The presence of antibodies indicates they may have been exposed to the infection even if they hadn’t developed symptoms of the disease.
