| | Division Football: DPS wins in sudden death | | | JAMMU, July 3: The DPS and Emman Club today reached the next round of quarterfinals league winning their respective matches in the J&K Bank B-Division Football Tournament, organized by J&K Football Association at Polo Ground in Srinagar .
In the first, DPS Club registered a 6-5 win over Blue Brazillian Football Club beating latter in sudden death. Earlier, in the stipulated time, the match ended in a goalless draw forcing the organizers to decide the game through tie-breaker.
Tie-breaker too could not decide the fate of the match and the score remained 4-4. However, in sudden death, DPS emerged winner.
The second match of the day won by Emman Football Club Habak beating Burn Hall School 3-2. Irfan Ahmad Dar (20th), Irfan Ahmad (45th) and Bilal Ahmad (62nd) scored for the winners while Amir Mushtaq (30th) and Fahad Majid (55th) were the scorers from Burn Hall.
FIXTURE: (Quarterfinals League): Safdar Football Club shall take on National Dalgate at 4 pm while Fort View shall face Polo View Football Club at 5.30 at Polo Ground tomorrow. |
