| | Darnambal, Neharpora win ties | | 1st Sopore T-20 Cricket | | JAMMU, July 3: PCC Darnambal gave stunning defeat to Sun Shine Kranshivan in the ongoing Sopore T-20 Cricket Contest played here at Khushal Sports Stadium Sopore.
In the first match, PCC Darnambal defeated Sun Shine Kranshivan. Batting first PCC Darnambal set a huge target of 173 runs before the opposite team losing only two wickets. In return Sun Shine Kranshivan was bundled out for petty 59 runs in 14.4 overs losing the match by 114 runs. For his excellent individual score of 83 runs Fayaz Ahmad of the winning team was declared as man of the match.
The second match of the tournament was played between Star Elevan Faisalabad and Neharpora Cricket Club. Playing first Neharpora Club scored 149 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In return Star Elevan fought back but missed the target by 8 runs. Parvaiz Ahmad of the winning team was declared man of the match, who scored 59 runs and clinched two wickets.
The contest has been organized by Police District Sopore under the aegis of DIG North Kashmir, Baramulla. It is for the first time that Police is organizing such a grand sports event in Sopore. |
