Jammu-A registers easy victory over Majid Sports
14th J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial Football tourney

JAMMU, July 3: Jammu-A registered an easy 10-0 victory over Majid Sports and move into the next round of the ongoing 14th J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial Football Tournament at twin venues of Bakshi Stadium and Polo Ground, Srinagar today.
Vishal was star striker with four goals, followed by Adonis, who netted two goals. To make it a big 10-0 win, Abhimanyu, Anil, Karun and Usman added one goal each.
In another close contest of the day, District Football Association (DFA) Budgam registered an 8-7 win over Young Maharaja in sudden death. Tied at 1-1 in the given time, the match remained undecided even in tie-breaker. However, in sudden death, DFA Budgam emerged winner.
Meanwhile, DFA Baramulla defeated Jahangir Sports 2-0. Haroom and Bilal netted one goal each. Novelty Blue also made it a 4-1 win against PAG Office. Rayees guided Novelty to a comfortable victory with his two goals. Mushtaq and Musaidiq added one goal each.
In another match, Maharaja Sports beat Shaheen Sports by three goals to one. Hussain scored two goals while Asif Qadir netted one. DFA Sopore also qualified for the next round outplaying Syed Taj-ud-Din Cub 2-0. Showkat and Majid were the scorers from the winners.
The matches were officiated by Muzaffar Ahmad, Mohd Shafi, Ferooz Khan, Bilal Khan, Zahoor Khan, Mohd Yasin, Mohd Ashraf, Hilal Ahmad, Sohan Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.

A Hamid DIG IRP Kashmir, Ravinder Singh Jamwal, CO IRP 11th Bn., Abdul Majeed Rather CO IR-7th, Mir Mohammad Choudhary CO IR 14th, Gulam Rasool Dar CO IR- 16th Ghulam Hassan Shah CO IR 18th, Nodal Officers for Bakshi Stadium Srinagar Mohammad Yousuf Mir CO IR 2nd and for polo Ground Srinagar M.S Punoo CO JKAP-12, S.A Hameed ( Tournament director), Jamir Thakur President JKFA, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi Treasurer JKFA, Prof. B.A Shah Resident Secretary JKFA Kashmir, Gazala Manager Bakshi Stadium Srinagar witnessed today’s keenly contested matches played at Bakshi Stadium and Polo Ground Srinagar.
FIXTURE: Raheem Green Solina V/s Jehlum Sports (Polo Ground) at 8 am; Jehlum Spots V/s JKPDC-B at 8 am; Kashmir Mughal V/s Late Maqbool Club at 3 pm; JKSRTC V/s DFA Baramulla at 5 pm (Bakshi Stadium).
