| | Shabir welcomes resumption of trade, travel via Chakanda Bagh | | | JAMMU, Jan 30:Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Shabir Khan has welcomed the resumption of trade and travel via Chakan da Bagh crossing point, after more than a fortnight-long suspension.
In a statement, the Minister said that it was a creditable step to ease the tension at the borders and sufferings of the people of both sides especially residing near borders. He said that opening of crossing points between the two sides not only proved beneficial to boost trade and commerce but re-unite the relatives living on the either side.
The Minister said that India always wants peace and progress in the sub-continent and has initiated meaningful dialogue process with Pakistan to settle the issues bilaterally. He said “peace between India and Pakistan is in favour of the both Countries”, and added that India always wants good relations with Pakistan. He said that a peaceful, democratic and stable Pakistan was in the interest of India. |
