| | India, Pakistan peace | | | Dear Editor, The recent skirmishes at Line of Control once again refresh the memory of the fact that many people have died on the border between India and Pakistan and peace is the only way to save those lives. We want peace so that these lives could be saved. We are done being enemies. Both countries have enough problems of their own. Respect for the border is important and both sides must do that but we are tired of being enemies now. Culturally and emotionally we are one. It are only the governments, who are thriving on ill informed, sectarian, self doubting and recognition mongering designs of certain fanatic religious elements here and there. They are the main cause of the catastrophe and they are against human development. —Mohd. Latief, Rajouri |
