| | Thousands offer prayers at Hazratbal | | | SRINAGAR, Feb 1 : Thousands of people offered prayers at Hazratbal shrine here on Friday following Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (SAW).
The holy relics of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was displayed during the five time prayers since morning.
Large number of devotees from different corners of Valley thronged the shrine to offer prayers and have a glimpse of the holy relic. They included elderly persons and children also.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by the authorities. Traffic police were strictly enforcing the one way traffic from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal and vice versa.
Big congregations were also held at some other shrines including that of Jenab Sahib Soura, Pinjurah in Shopian, Kaba Marg and Khiram Sirhama. The holy relics were displayed there also. |
