| | Sheikh Hamid passes away | | | SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Sheikh Abdul Hamid, ex-commissioner J&K fire service, passed away at his residence at SP College lane here today.
Hamid was 77 and is survived by his wife, Dr Farhat, noted gynecologist, and a son and adaughter. Large number of people from different walks of life visited the bereaved family to offer their condolences. They also joined his funeral.
Hamid was laid to rest at Magharmal Bagh graveyard. According to family sources, the mourning will be for three days. |
