India, Pak trade fire in Akhnoor

JAMMU, Sept 8: Pakistani Rangers Sunday targeted BSF jawans in Chicken Neck area of International Border in Akhnoor sector by opening fire on one of the border posts.

According to reports, the jawans deployed at the Border Out Post (BOP) Maljodha reported snipping fire from across the bund in the Chicken Neck area.

No one was injured in the firing, said an agency report quoting official sources. Officials said that Indian jawans also retaliated the fire in equal measure to foil any infiltration bid from across the border.
