2 cops killed in South Kashmir

SRINAGAR, July 3 : Two police men were killed by unidentified gunmen at Pulwama and Kulgam today.
Reports said Constable Dalbir Singh was shot at from a very close range at Rajpora Chowk in Pulwama , around noon The injured was removed to SMHS, Srinagar in critical condition, where he succumbed to injuries.
Police said, a resident of village Gohan in district Baramulla, slain constable Dalbeer Singh joined the police in 2000 and had tied the nuptial knot recently. He is survived by elderly parents and his spouse.
Reports said the gunmen fired upon another cop Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat at Yaripora-Kulgam. They also took away the weapon from the slain cop.
The injured constable was rushed to sub district hospital, Kulgam, where he succumbed to injuries.
