On-line booking of Heli Tickets commences on Apr 20

JAMMU, Apr 3 : Online booking of helicopter tickets for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2013 shall commence on 20th April 2013 at 10.00 A.M. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has made arrangements with M/s Global Vectra Pvt Ltd and M/s Himalayan Heli Services Pvt Ltd for providing heli services on Baltal-Panjtarni-Baltal Sector and M/s Pawan Hans Pvt. Ltd for heli services on Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector.[[

Giving further details, Navin K. Choudhary, Chief Executive Officer, SASB informed that on-line booking facility shall be available to the intending Yatris from 20th April, 2013 on websites of the aforesaid Companies viz www.onlineglobalhelicorp.com and www.himalayanheli.com for Baltal-Panjtarni sector and www.booking.pawanhans.co.in for Pahalgam-Panjtarni sector.

The CEO informed that one way per passenger heli-fare for Baltal-Panjtarni and Pahalgam-Panjtarni Sector has been fixed at Rs.1500/- and Rs. 2400/-, respectively. Choudhary further stated that the Yatris who wish to avail heli service for their pilgrimage may not seek Registration through the designated Bank branches as their applications for purchasing heli tickets shall contain the required information and shall be treated as Yatra permits for undertaking the pilgrimage. However, such Yatris would not be able to board the heli-services unless they produce the required Compulsory Health Certificate issued by authorised Doctor/Institutes which have been notified by their respective State Governments. These Yatris would have to furnish Compulsory Health Certificates at the time of boarding the helicopter at Baltal or Pahalgam, without which the boarding passes will not be issued.

Protests at Hazrtbal against boy’s arrest
SRINAGAR, April 3: Protests demonstrations were today held at Hazratbal here against the arrest of a minor boy. The protesters also pelted stones on cops. In Sopore, a family alleged that a minor boy was booked under PSA but cops claimed that he is not a minor. Tension mounted at Hazratbal today due to protests. The family members of the arrested boy, Asif Majeed of Hazratbal said his age is only 16. They added that he was arrested some 20 days back by police on the charges of pelting stones.
