CM showed no spine in Liyaqat case
ActIT Jammu, ASP.net Projects, Java, Vb.net, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

After Liyaqat Shah was arrested by Delhi Police, the state government asserted that the ex-militant was en-route to Kashmir under rehabilitation policy. Delhi police have come out with a contrary story. But one fails to understand the compulsions of the chief minister who suggested Home ministry for referring the case to NIA. It ought to have been left to home minister to decide himself at his end. CM should have stuck to his stand. He has reduced himself as a pawn in the hands of his mentors. Shifting loyalties and changing stances is a common feature of power crazy moral less politicians.

Kashmir problem is a creation of none but Congress and NC since central government lodged complaint with UNO. What the NC parrots when in power is quite contrary to what it preaches when out of power. Quite often untoward utterances of NC leaders are not taken as a matter of concern by union government which is worrisome. When AFSPA, PSA and Disturbed Areas Act are in vogue in the state there is then little space left for the civil government.

People have fallen prey to victimisation due to the follies of Congress and NC. The coalition partners need to be honest enough to take the blame for the present unrest, lawlessness etc. in the state. But the leadership as usual has refused to learn lessons from past mistakes. One is reminded of an Urdu cuplet of Galib:

Kaba Kis Monh say jawgay Galib, Sharam tuj ko magar nahin aati.

(How would you proceed to Macca for pilgrimage. Do not you feel ashamed of.)
