NPP accuses centre of depriving J&K of democracy
KT NEWS SERVICE
"
JAMMU, Aug 14: National Panthers Party (NPP) chief and Member, National Integration Council Prof. Bhim Singh, today accused the Central leadership for depriving the people of Jammu and Kashmir from sharing the benefits of Indian democracy and the rule of law.

In a statement issued here, Bhim regretted that since 1947, people of J&K have been denied of their fundamental freedom, justice and equity which is enjoyed by every Indian citizen. He added that the Parliament of India, unfortunately, has deliberately chosen to keep its legislative authority out of J&K legislation resulting in constitutional chaos, disorder and political anarchy in the State.

“The message Panthers party can give to our people is, as the Indian flag does not belong to J&K, the Constitution of India as such is also not applicable to the State. The freedom and fundamental rights which are enjoyed by every citizen of India are not applicable in J&K due to the presence of its own constitution,” he stated.

As long as this discrimination with the people of J&K is not removed by the Parliament of India, there can be no real peace and the enemies of India will continue exploiting this situation by abetting with the enemies of India in the State and outside”, he added.

Meanwhile, Bhim said that re-union and re-organization of the entire Jammu and Kashmir, including Gilgit and Baltistan is the only way out to save peace in the sub-continent.
