Air-lift pilgrims’ bodies to Bihar: Vohra

SRINAGAR, JULY 16 - The Governor, N. N. Vohra, who is also Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has ordered the dead bodies of the seven Amarnath Yatris who lost their lives in the bus accident at Ramban yesterday should be sent by air to Darbhanga, Bihar.
On the Governor’s instructions, Navin K. Choudhary the Chief Executive Officer, Amarnath Shrine Board, has asked the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pradeep Gupta, and Additional Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, to coordinate and make all necessary arrangements in this regard and debit the expense to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Dr. Bhandari has also been directed to provide all other essential assistance to the kith and kin of the bereaved families.
