| | Awantipora T20: Police XI to take on Tral in final | | | JAMMU, July 21: Police XI shall be playing against United Tral in the final of the Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by District Police Awantipora at Charligund Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the semifinals, United Tral defeated Hilal Cricket Club while Police XI registered victory over Padgampora XI by a comfortable margin of 62 runs.
In the second semifinal, played today, Police XI, batting first, after winning the toss, set a target of 177 runs, which, in reply, Padgampora XI could not chase. Padgampora XI lost all their wickets for 114 runs thereby lost the important game by a margin of 62 runs.
For his match winning innings of 54 runs and one wicket, Mohammad Hanief was declared man of the match.
In all, 22 matches have been played so far in this knock-out competition wherein teams from Pampore, Tral, Awantipora and Pulwama took part. |
