Army organises “Educational, motivational’ tour

JAMMU, Aug 3: As a part of “Operation Sadbhavana Project”, Army has organized an “Educational and Motivational tour which starts from July 31 to August 16 of this year to the holy land Bodh Gaya and Bhubaneswar “City of Temples”.
In an official statement issued here, the tour was organized by Fire and Fury Corps to different parts of the country. This year, 15 children got a chance to move out of the remote hinterland of Ladakh and to be part of the tour to Bodh Gaya and Bhubaneswar. The tour was flagged off by Corps Artillery Brigade Commander on 31st July at Nimu (Ladakh). On this occasion, parents of the children, some civil dignitaries and other senior army officials were also present. A small get together was also organized to mark the flagging off, where the Commander interacted with the children and their parents. Each member of the tour group was presented with a cap, track suit and shoes as souvenir.
The statement informed that the group was scheduled to visit Officers Training Academy and also meet the Commandant Officer’s Training Academy at Gaya and the Governor of Orissa during the tour and will get an opportunity to visit important historical places in and around Bodh Gaya and Bhubaneshwar.
