Lights functioning during daytime
Dear Editor,
At a number of places in the city one comes across lights atop the poles which are on mode during the day as well. The Municipal Department of Jammu, it seems, perhaps forgets to issue instructions regarding their closure which further results in wastage of the electricity. A proper mechanism should be introduced in place so as that the lights are switched off and on automatically once the morning sets in.
This will serve as a best example of power saving for the people besides of course, saving the precious resource. It is in the best interests of the people that these lights function during the night which is their proper timing to be in that mode.
—Rakesh, Jammu.
