Work for development irrespective of caste, creed: Lal Singh to Sarpanchs

KATHUA, Aug 6 :Member Parliament (MP) Chowdhary Lal Singh chaired a meeting wherein Panchs and Sarpanchs of different blocks of district Kathua participated.
The meeting discussed in detail various issues and problems raised by the panchs and sarpanchs of different panchayats related to development of their respective panchayats which included road connectivity, adequate power and drinking water supply, repair of transformers, shortage of school staff, proper medical facilities, sufficient stocking of ration in CAPD outlets etc.
Lal Singh assured all the panchs and sarpanchs of all possible help in mitigating sufferings of the people especially living in far off areas. He exhorted upon the officers to involve the panchs and sarpanchs in creating awareness among the people about the state and centrally sponsored schemes so that optimum results could be obtained from theses welfare and development programmes.
Choudhary Lal Singh while interacting with the panchs and sarpanchs expressed gratitude to the centre government for providing liberal funding to the state with the intent to uplift the socio- economic conditions of the people. He appealed the sarpanchs to aware the people about developmental schemes and programmes of the government for betterment of their respective areas. He also directed the officers to strictly adhere to the guidelines while executing works under various centrally sponsored schemes.
The MP appealed the panchs and sarpanchs to work with added zeal and devotion for development and welfare of the common masses irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
District Development Commissioner Kathua, Zahida Parveen Khan, exhorted upon the officers to give due consideration to the panchs and sarpanchs while making plans to execute development works in the panchayats. She also passed instructions to the officers to organize gram panchayats to have consensus on various developmental works prioritized by their respective panchayats.
