JAMMU, Jun 23: Even after the lapse of more than a week, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators, who had threatened to drag the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to the court against his outburst against them accusing them of extracting undue favours for their kith and kin and also his charges with reference to LC cross voting episode, have yet to take a legal recourse on this issue.
According to party workers, the BJP legislators since then have not been attending to even their routine office work in the party headquarters.
The party insiders say after Omar's verbal attack on the BJP leaders the party workers have refused to stand behind them and defend them among the masses. It is no secret the overall image of the party has also dented as these leaders have failed to effectively defend themselves.
The BJP legislators, despite announcing their intent to drag the Chief Minister to the court of law, so far have not moved a formal plea against him in the court of law.
