J&K Bank conducts DLRC meet in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Sep 7: J&K Bank convened a District Level Committee Review (DLRC) meeting on Wednesday at Dak Bungalow Baramulla to review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2012-13.
The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Baramulla.
The Bank’s Lead Bank Office (LBO) Baramulla placed before the house the details of achievements made by the financial institutions as on June 30, 2012 under District Credit Plan of Rs. 685.12 crore for the year 2012-13 with priority sector portion of Rs. 550.12 crore.
He said, “With disbursement of Rs. 130.21 crores to 6945 beneficiaries under the priority sector lending, the district had recorded an achievement of 23.66% during the period under review.”
The house was informed that under Priority Sector lending the District had achieved a growth of 18% on year on year (YoY) basis, while as Weaker Section Advances registered (YoY) growth of 17%.
Chairman DLRC advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies functioning in the district to work with cooperation, coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of development, progress & eradication of unemployment.
He further emphasized upon various Agencies of the district to conduct awareness programmes at Village levels to create proper awareness among the people.
