Power shut down

JAMMU, Sep 7: In order to carry out work on providing additional circuit for 33/11 KV R/Station New Janipur, the power supply to New Plot, Sarwal, Janipur, Laxminagar, High Court and District Court Complex, Ramzan Pura, Durga Nagar, Pamposh Colony and Janipur Colony alongwith adjoining areas fed from 33 KV Janipur-New Janipur line emanating from 132/33 KV Grid Station Janipur would remain affected on 9th of September, 2012 (Sunday) from 8 am to 1 pm.
Similarly, in order to carry out work on tightening of connectors, replacement of worn out jumpers, clamps and dropper at 220 KV and 132 KV Yards of 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Ramban, the shut down of 220/132/33 KV Grid Station will be observed on 9th of September, 2012 from 7 am to 12 noon.
During the shutdown, the power supply to District Ramban Shall be affected.
Meanwhile, National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) Salal is availing a shut down of Salal Power House from 11 pm on 8th of September, 2012 to 7 pm on 9th of September, 2012 for flushing of Reservoir of Salal Hydro Electric Project. During the shutdown, power supply shall remain affected in all areas of Jammu province and rotational curtailment shall be enforced.
The public is requested to kindly bear with the department during the period of shutdown and use power judiciously.
