CCBL elections: Rakesh withdraws in favour of Raina

JAMMU, Sept 14: Rakesh Sharma, one of the candidates from the panel headed by Dinesh Gupta, a former chairman of the bank, for elections to the board of directors of the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Limited, has withdrawn in favour of Charanjit Singh Raina.
Raina has now been included in the panel of nine candidates fielded by the group in the elections. His ballot number is ‘22’.
This was announced at a press conference addressed here today by Dinesh Gupta and other candidates of his team. Dinesh Gupta and other members of his panel also announced in brief about their plan to carry the CCB to new heights. They told that all the branches would be computerized by March 31 next year and all branches would be brought online. The bank would also set up ATMs at various places. Further under their stewardship the bank would construct its own building for its central offices on a land already allotted to the bank near JDA Complex at Rail Head.
The other members of the panel including Deepak Gupta, Kailash Langar, Karunvesh Gupta, Kaoushal Kumar Gupta, Parshottam Singh Pawar, Parveen Sharma and Virinder Singh stepped up their election campaign.
