| | Cultural programme organises in Bhella | | | DODA, Sep 20 : District Information Centre, Doda, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a colorful cultural night, here at Bhella village.
The programme organised in a bid to promote cultural activities in the district was supported by the police under its civic action programme.
The colorful cultural programme was presented by the artists of District Information Centre Doda starting with the staging of scenes from the holy Ramayan, followed by the Bhaderwahi folk songs, Siraji songs, Kashmiri songs, Punjabi songs, Dogri songs and Gazals.
Many renowned artists of the region participated in the programme which include Milkhi Ram Mastana, Shehzad Khan, Maan Singh, Aijaz Ahmed, Janzeb Alam and Beer Singh besides budding artists were also given opportunity to exhibit their talent .
Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda Arif Rishu was the chief guest on the occasion, while as SP Operations (Jammu) Pawan Parihar was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion Rishu appreciated the commitment of the Information Department in promoting the cultural and awareness activities in the District. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police under the civic action programmes provide a platform to the youth to showcase and know their potential. He said various programmes are being organised under civic action programme like sports activities, awareness programmes and seminars etc to channelize the energy of youth in the developmental activities of the state and district. |
