| | People fed up with Congress led UPA govt : BJP | | | JAMMU, Sept 20: Expressing his gratitude to the people of Jammu for observing Bharat Bandh, the former MP of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Kiran Maheshwari claimed that this is a very clear message to the Congress led UPA government in centre that the people are fed up with the anti-people policies of the Congress government. Addressing media persons here today BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP National General Secretary, former Member of Parliament & sitting MLA from Rajasmand Kiran Maheshwari, said that the people has given a very clear message to the Congress-led UPA that no one is going to tolerate the anti-people policies and it will have to withdraw its decision on FDI immediately failing which the country will witness more aggressive agitation and protests. She said that today’s complete bandh has once again rejected the policies of the UPA which have been designed to benefit a handful of people and harm the interest of crores of retailers and transporters across the country. Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the support by shopkeepers, traders, small scale Industries, transport and Educational organizations made the bandh successful. He said that the party has always been agitating for the cause and survival of a common man and shall continue to do the same. He said that whole of Jammu, Ladakh and many parts of Kashmir. He said that Basohli, Kathua, Billawar, Reasi, Udhampur, Akhnoor, R.S. Pura, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Sunderbani, Nowshera and many other parts observed complete and peaceful bandh. BJP National Executive Member & MLA Ashok Khajuria, National Executive Member & Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, State General Secretaries Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A) and Usha Choudhary were also present in the press conference. |
