Sham directs for Cleft Surgery of abandoned baby

SRINAGAR, Sep 22: Moved by the story about abandoned cleft lip baby admitted in G.B. Pant for last few days the Minister for Health, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today instructed Director Health Services Kashmir to ensure that the health department takes responsibility for the corrective surgery for cleft lip and palate for the baby.
Soon, the Director Health services called a meeting of super specialist of the Health Department and directed them for necessary measures for the corrective surgery, Dr. Sheikh Tariq, and Dr. Hamidulah Wani, Plastic Surgeons and Dr. Gowher Mufti Pediatric Surgeon belonging to Director of Health Services Kashmir were assigned the Job to undertake the necessary surgeries at the appropriate stage. The Director of Health Services is in regular touch with the administration of G. B. Pant Hospital for the purpose.
