| | Mission –Dosti dangal at Katra on Oct-21 | | | JAMMU, Oct 14 : 8th Mission-Dosti 5 Nations International Indian Style Dangal shall he held at Vivekanand Sports Stadium Katra on October 21.
This was decided in a meeting of the organizing Committee held under the chairmanship of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Shiv Kumar Sharma.
The meeting was informed that International and National wrestlers from Maharastra, U.P, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, H. P, Chandigarh, Railways, BSF, J&K Police and J&K State have already confirmed their participation.
Pakistan has fielded 11 members team, while two Wrestlers from England, three wrestlers from Ukraine and
Four wrestlers from Bangladesh. All the International Wrestlers Shall be reaching at Katra on October 19, and they will stay at Hotel Basera Katra, President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma said. The inauguration function of the competition shall be held at 1 P.M at Vivekanand Sports Stadium.
He said special Attraction of the event – Honoring of London Olympic Medalist 2012 (Pride of India) Wrestler Sushil Kumar (Olympic Silver Medalist) and Yogeshwar Dutt
(Olympic Bronze Medalist).
Different Committee have set up for the success full conduct of the mega wrestling event. The Pakistani Wrestlers participating in the dangal are Mohd. Azam (100 kg),Bilal Hussain (96 kg), Mohd. Maroof (80kg), Tahir Ali (90kg), Ghulam Mustafa (85 kg), Mohd. Nadeem (100 kg) Mohsin Riaz (90 kg), Zaman Anwer (100 kg) (All wrestlers) Mohd. Tariq Mir (Manager), Abdul Majeed (Team Leader)and Mohd. Shafiq (Coach).
England Team:- Jatinder Singh Rakhra and Reon Gregory Rattigan (96 kg) (Common Wealth Bronze Medalist and British Champion).
Ukrine Team:-Roman Stadnir, Olek Siy Melnyx and Hleb Kutey.
Bangladesh Team:- Dipu Ray (74 kg), Sheik Shepon (84 kg), Billal Hussein ( 84 kg), Mongno (84 kg), Ashaqur Rahman Khan (Manager) and Mesbha Uddin Azad (Coach).
Hind Kesari 2012 Wrestler Yudhbir Singh of Haryana will fight for the main bout (1st Malli). The prize money of first no. bout is Rs 1, 00,000/-. |
