Inter School Athletic meet: Rekha adjudged best athlete
KATHUA, Oct 20: Rekha Rani of Higher Secondary School (HSS) Hatli, who contested in under-19 year category, was adjusted best athlete in annual inter-school athletic meet of district Kathua which came to an end here today with the holding of valedictory function.

Member of Parliament, Lal Singh was chief guest, who gave away medals to the winners of different field and track events amidst encouragement to the promising athletes of the district.

Principal GHSS Kathua, Arum Pathak, former president Municipal Corporation Kathua, Surinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Dr. JP Singh, Narinder Singh and Yash Paul Sharma DYSS.

The competition was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under the over all supervision of District Officer, Sudesh Chalotra.

GIRLS: UNDER-19 yr: 100 mts: Rekha Rani, GHSS Hatli, Ist; Sony Saini, GHSS Marheen, 2nd and Shivalika Verma, HSS Chandwan, 3rd.1500 mts: Rekha Rani, GHSS Hatli, Ist; Shilpa Devi, GHSS Kathua, 2nd; Pinky Kumari, GHSS Mangloor, 3rd. 3000 mts: Sushma Devi, GHSS Hatli, Ist; Priya, HSS Mangloor, 2nd; Hajra Banoo, GHSS Billawar, 3rd.

UNDER-17 yr: 100 mts: Roshan Bibi, HS Nagri, 1st; Jyoti Devi, HSS Hatli, 2nd and Kajal Sharma (HS Marheen) and Sheetal Bibi (HS Pargoli) shared 3rd place.
