| | Malik visits Sopore | | | SRINAGAR, Oct 30: The Chairman JKLF, Mohammad Yasin Malik, today visited Sopore where a several houses were damaged during an encounter recently. A press statement issued here said the senior leaders of JKLF, Noor Mohamad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Mir Mohamad Zaman, Bashir Kashmiri, Mohamad Haneef along with senior office bearers of Baramullah Abdul Rashid Mogloo, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Mir Abdul Rashid, Gh. Qadir Khan, Moulvi Reyaz and M Azam accompanied Malik. Malik, it said, went to the site of destruction where the houses of Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Mohamad Afzal shah and Lateefa Bano were razed to ground. It said Malik was also taken to a leather factory of Abdul Majeed Siraj that also has been destroyed. “Malik distributed Rs 2.25 Lakh among the effected people .About 1.25 Lakh of this money was collected from the well wishers in Srinagar while as one Lakh Rupees was contributed by fruit Mandi Sopore for the cause,” it said. Speaking to the people, Malik appealed to all Kashmiris to remember the victims, it said, adding that Malik appealed people of Sopore to rise to the occasion and help them. Malik condemned the “terrorism unleashed by Indian army”, and said that the approach of the army has once again proved “it always treats Kashmiris as their colony where they have no rule or regulation to follow.” |
