| | Youth killed in accident | | | JAMMU Nov 2: One person was killed and another seriously injured today when a Kashmir-bound truck hit them on Jammu-Pathankot highway in Kathua district.
“The truck, which was on its way to Kashmir, hit a Jammu-bound motorcyle on the highway at Golden Gate area in Kathua district and the motorcyle was thrown away,” a police official said.
Vijay Kumar Gupta, 25, of Patel Nagar (Kathua), was killed on the spot and Sunil Kumar, 22, of Arnia is hospitalised with serious injuries. He was referred to the GMC hospital.
A case has been registered and the driver of the truck Assadullah of Ananatnag district of South Kashmir has been arrested. |
