JKYT organizes seminar at Kupwara

KUPWARA, Nov 8 : The Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Turst Kupwara unit Thursday organised a seminar entitled ‘Orphan related issues and solution’ at Town Hall Kupwara. The seminar was held a part of 40th year celebrations of the trust.

Speaking on the occasion the organizers highlighted the role of the trust in helping the orphans and downtrodden in the state. They said that during past four decades the Trust has been able to educate thousands of orphans, some of whom are now holding good positions in different fields.

They said hundreds of families who had lost their bread winner have become self reliant due to livelihood cum income generation units. Apart form that hundreds of grown up girls have been married and thus saved from exploitation and number of disappointed patients have been saved from desperate situations.

Chairman of the trust Zahoor Ahmad Tak who was guest of honor, lauded the role of Kupwara people in guiding and assisting them to identify and help the beneficiaries in their best possible manner.

Convener Civil society Kupwara, Showkat Massodi and Qazi Mahmood of Save Kupwara Front also spoke on the occasion.

JKPSA counters AJKPC: Panches divided over poll boycott
