JYF to hold protest Nov 22, demands removal of OSD

JAMMU, Nov 15: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF), today demanded the Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University to immediately issue an order for removing corrupt Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Jai Kumar who was involved in various scams in the campus and warned to hold protest demonstration on 22 November this year in front of Governor House if demands were not conceded.

according to a statement, Addressing the media persons here today, University JYF president Balveer Kumar while addressing the reporters said that the internal inquiry ordered by the University into the tiles scam was mere eyewash and an attempt was made to save the OSD who was directly involved the scandal.“The Vice-Chancellor had appointed the Professor Ranjikant for conducting probe into the scam but the latter was a close associate of Jai Kumar. The whole nexus needs to be broken and it is possible only through an independent inquiry into the scam,” he added.

He further appealed to the Vice-Chancellor to without delay remedy his mistake vis-a-vis OSD and save the esteemed University from the control of corruption.

Among those who were present on the occasion included Rohit Gupta, Amit Kumar, Sachin Sharma, Aman Mahajan and Ajit Sharma.
