| | Bandh in Wazir Bagh area | | | SRINAGAR, Nov 16: A bandh was observed at Wazir Bagh area here in protest against the arrest of a local youth.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed there. The youth, Mohammad Younis, was arrested from his residence at Wazir Bagh yesterday. His family alleged that he had gone to meet the detained leader Dr Mohammad Qasim Kacktoo at SKIMS, where he is undergoing treatment.
They demanded immediate release of Younis. Reports said Younis was recently released from jail after two month detention.
Because of the bandh chemist shops were also closed in the area. |
