JDA to advertise plots in Roop Nagar housing colony

JAMMU, July 3: Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Satesh Nehru, along with team of senior officers of JDA comprising Superintending Engineer, Director Land Management, Senior Town Planner, Senior Architect, Senior Law Officer, Executive Engineer, Tehsildar, and Chief Khilafwarzi Officer visited Roop Nagar Housing Colony, Jammu to ascertain land availability in the colony so that plots can be carved out for general public to mitigate their housing problems to some extent.

The land was identified on spot and Town Planning wing and engineering wing was directed to carve out plots immediately including laying of lanes and drains for such newly carved out plots.

During the visit, the Vice Chairman took serious notice of encroachment on a big chunk of land within the colony and directed Khilafwarzi wing headed by Director Land Management to camp in the colony for removal of all encroachments within one week. It was noticed that over 150 plots of various sizes can be made available for general public immediately.
