| | Lachi Pora Club wins in Vijay hockey | | | JAMMU, Nov 19: Lachi pora Club Kathua today registered a 3-1 win over Sittu Club in the ongoing Vijay Pal Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Singh Club at Army ground, Bandhu Rakh, in the outskirts of the city.
Vivek Sharma scored two goals for Lachi Pora netting the ball in the 13th and 17th minute thereby helped the side go up 2-0 at the end of first play. The lead was further improved by Lachipora Club when Jaswinder Singh netted the ball in the 33rd minute.
However, Sittu Club could only reduce the margin 3-1 with Gaganpreet Singh scoring the only goal in the 45th minute. Earlier, Sittu Club got six penalty corners as compare to five in favour of Lachi Pora, but none of them could be covered into goal.
Today’s match was officiated by the penal of technical persons, Iqbal Singh, S P Singh, Manjeet Singh and Kamalpreet Singh. |
