| | YCC beat Amjad Club to reach final | | | POONCH, Nov 20: Young Cricket Club (YCC) defeated Amjad Club by four wickets to qualify for the final of the Poonch Twenty20 Cricket Tournament underway at Government Degree College ground, here today. Batting first after winning the toss, Amjad Club made 119 runs for seven wickets with Imran Mir being highest run getter, who made 32 runs. Chander Singh and Vikas contributed 23 and 34 runs respectively. From YCC, Zahid was most successful bowler, who clinched four wickets, followed by Bala with two. In reply, YCC overhauled the opponent total making 122 for the loss of six wickets, sparing 1.2 overs of their innings. From Amjad Club, Vikas bagged three wickets while Imran Mir took two. For his all round performance, Zahid was declared man of the match. In today’s semifinal, SSP Poonch, Shemshar Hussain was special guest. He was accompanied by and Additional SP, Yugal Manhas. Meanwhile, the final has been scheduled for November 23. However, before the title clash, a friendly match will be played between Media XI and Police XI at 10.30 am tomorrow. |
