| | SW deptt celebrates ICDS week | | | JAMMU, Nov 20 : Social Welfare Department, Ramban celebrated ICDS Week. On concluding day of the celebration of ICDS week organized by Social Welfare department, a mega function was held at headquarter Ramban.
The function was attended by over 200 participants from different walks of life besides Sarpanchs and Panchs.
District Social Welfare Officer, Ramban, Mohd Anwal Banday, who is also CDPO of ICDS Project Ramban informed that main focus of ICDS scheme is to reduce the infant mortality rate, mother’s mortality rate, malnutrition, school dropout rate etc through providing the package of services prescribed under the said scheme to general masses on their door steps. He also stressed upon the field functionaries to work with zeal and dedication, so that the benefit of ICDS scheme percolate upto the downtrodden section of the society. Elected representatives present on the occasion were also requested to co-operate with the department & AWW/Helpers at grass root level for proper implementation of ICDS schemes. |
