| | Training cum study tour for 36 farmers | | | KATHUA, Nov 20 : Under Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan state (HMNEH) a group of 36 farmers from District Kathua under the supervision of Horticulture Development Officer B.N .Sharma left for training programme cum study tour of Kashmir here today. The farmers from Bani, Duggan, Lohai Malhar Basohli and Billawar are participating in the tour.
During the tour, farmers will visit advance centre of Horticulture Development Ramban, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences, Shalimar, Srinagar, Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH) Rangreth, Srinagar besides they will get an opportunity to interact with Scientists and progressive fruit growers. They will also visit the Zainapora farm of Department of Horticulture (Kashmir).
The tour has been planned under Human Resource Development Components under HMNEHS to train the farmers in improved production technology of temperate and sub-temperate fruit crops. |
