| | J&K skaters excel in Asian Championship | | | JAMMU, Nov 21: Three Jammu and Kashmir skaters, who were part of the Indian team, excelled in the recently held 15th Asian Roller Skating Championship at Hefei City of China. One of these skaters, Jatin Sabarwal, who took part in quads hockey event, clinched silver medal thus brought laurels for the country and the state. “A student of Law School of University of Jammu, Jatin was in the Indian team that won quads hockey title after a gap of 25 years at the Asian level. In the final of this event, India lost to Macow,” president of J&K Roller Skating Association, G S Khurmi told SAN. Two other J&K skaters, who were in the Indian inline hockey team, Safandeep Singh and Jasmeet Singh could not do well after the team they were playing for finished fifth. Meanwhile, the Association appreciated the efforts of the hockey coach, P P Singh for producing the international stuff in state skating. |
