| | PUC reviews status of Ganpat Bridge Doda | | | JAMMU, Nov 21: The Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today discussed the present status of Ganpat Bridge over River Chenab in Doda being executed by the Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC).
The Committee, which met here under the Chairmanship of MLA Abdul Majid Wani, discussed the CAG audit report on the bridge.
Legislators, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Charanjit Singh, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, and Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri) expressed concern over the slow space of construction work of the Bridge and directed the concerned to speed up the same for early completion of the vital bridge proposed to provide connectivity to the district headquarter Doda . The members suggested that a fresh Detailed Project Report (DPR) shall be prepared by taking in to consideration all aspects.
The panel directed the concerned authorities to furnish detailed report about the queries raised in the audit para for its scrutiny. |
