YSS organises Water sports training camp in Srinagar

JAMMU, July 9: The Department of Youth Services & Sports has organized month long water sports training camp in Dal Lake Srinagar for the children of District Srinagar. About 200 children participated in this camp who were given training in different water sports events.
On the concluded function which was held here today, demonstrations were presented by the participants in Dragon Boat Race, Standing Boat Race, Kayaking & Canoeing, Surf-riding, Water Skiing.
The concluding function was presided over by Seema Agarwal while Kiran Prasad was the chief guest and K Vijaya Rajendra was the guest of honour .
Speaking on the occasion, Agarwal assured the participants that they will request the concerned authorities to provide every possible facility to the Children so that they are able to do well at all levels particularly in the forthcoming Nationals. Prizes were also distributed to the participants.
Those present included Vijaya Singh, Madhu Lohia, Monica Dulla, Pallavi Geelani, Neena Puri and Gulshreen Khan. The concluding function was also presented by Deputy Director Youth Services Sports, Kashmir Neelofar Amin, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar, Sarabjeet Singh and other officials of the department.
