| | 'Cong-BJP responsible for discrimination against Jammu' | | | JAMMU, Nov 25: Peoples Democratic Party under the leadership of its leader Kuljeet Singh Jamwal today organized a ‘Pad Yatra’ in Ward No. 2 of Jammu city raising slogans against the government for its failure to address the problems of common masses. The yeatra started from Mubarak Mandi, Jammu and after passing through various areas of Jullaka Mohalla culminated Near Environment High School. A large number of people from the area joined PDP in the presence of Kuljeet Singh Jamwal. Prominent among those included Gaurav Mehra, Aditya Kashyap, Kartik Sadotra, Gourfav Pandey, Ankush Verma, Gautam Sahrma, Madan Mohan Sharma, Rajan Kumar, Sahil Sahrma, Ravi Sharma, Vikas vaid, Mansukh Sharma, Kaka Gandhi, Sanjay KKhajuria, Kuldeep Khajuria, Visha, Nikhil Sharma and others. Addressing an impressive gathering Kuljeet Singh Jamwal blamed Congress and BJP for the continuing discrimination against Jammu by successive National Conference governments. He said that it was only during PDP govt. that the Jammu region got equitable share in all the fields including employment and development. He said that PDP has emerged as the most potent alternative to the biased, discriminatory and anti-people National Conference-Congress combine in the entire State. Kuljeet Singh Jamwal said that PDP during its tenure has proved how to deliver good governance and carved out a path of equitable development and people of Jammu region have realized that only PDP has vision to solve their problems. He said that under the visionary leadership of its patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, programmes and policies of the PDP are formulated after incorporating wishes and aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the state. He further said that there is rampant corruption in administrative machinery as the state has fallen into the stranglehold of corruption-driven vested interests and people are crying for basic amenities like sadak, paani and even roti amidst the high price rise. He said that NC government is least concerned about the problem of LPG while PDP president Mehbooba Mufti took up the issue with Govt. of India SK Sharma, Retd. SP, president and OP Pradhan, general secretary of Jullaka Mohalla Welfare Society rfaised several issues pertaining to the problems of common masses. Jamwal assured to take up the issue with the concerned authorities and seek their redressal. Others who spoke on the occasion were Ranjeev Dharmath, Jasvinder Singh Jassi, advocate, Chander Shekhar Sharma, Diwakar Singh, Kuldeep Verma, Ved Prakash Sharma, Anju Bhan, president PDP Minority Cell, Kamal Sharma, Rajinder Tinku, Pawan Gupta and Dr. Kamal Sharma. |
