JKCA felicitated Shubham Khajuria

JAMMU, July 13: While welcoming inclusion of Shubham Khajuria a young budding cricketer of the state of Jammu & Kashmir in the U-19 Team India for its visit to Sri Lanka, Chairman Jammu & Kashmir cricket Association said that he is the only player who has played all format in the domestic cricket.

Addressing media persons he said that there is no dearth of talent in the state but if sincere efforts are made to give them chance we can produce more such players in the state.

Replying to a question he said that ‘you can not make a player, but you can break a player.’ Quoting an example of Mithun Manhas, he told our state has history of dropping the players who should be in the country’s team. He said that if care should be taken of the players we can also produce best players in the state.

He said that I am feeling proud that during my tenure two boys Parvez Rasool and Shubham Khajuria have got berth in the India team and India ‘A’team respectively. It was due to hard work done by Shubham, he could make place in India’A ‘team.

The Chairman, JKCA Mohd Aslam Goni said that inclusion of Parvez Rasool in Team India and further inclusion of Shubham Khajuria in U-19 squad of India visiting Sri Lanka, is indeed a dream come true. He said that we have much more talent in the form of young budding cricketers they are provided fear deal, a better infrastructure and more cricket.

Speaking in the function, Shubham Khajuria expressed gratitude to the JKCA, especially, its chairman, Mohd Aslam Goni for providing all facilities at the GGM Science College Cricket ground. Shubham will leave for Chennai on July 18 and Sri Lanka on July 21.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman of JKCA, Jammu wing Shamboo Nath Sharma along with Joint Secretary, JKCA, Jammu wing Hardev Singh requested the Chairman, JKCA Mohd Aslam Goni to start an effective cricketing season at Jammu. They said that it was the continuous effort of JKCA in the year 2009-10, 2010-11 &2011-12, a budding Cricketer like Shubham Khajuria as reached to the level of representing the country.

They appealed the Chairman, JKCA Mohd. Aslam Goni to ensure better cricketing activities in the current season. Chairman, assured the office bearers of Jammu wing, working committee members and the outstanding cricketers present at the occasion that we will start the cricketing activities within days by conducting the talent hunt camps & fitness camps besides the tournaments to provide the better cricket to the players associated with JKCA.
