| | J&K boys’ girls win opening ties in basketball | | | JAMMU, Nov 29: Establishing new standards at the school level that too in the competitive game of basketball, both boys and girls from Jammu and Kashmir have won their inaugural matches in the 58th National School Games in under-17 basketball got underway at Chattisgarh today. While boys defeated Uttrakhand 32-11 by comfortable margin, girls trounced their opponent from Vidyabharti, the reports reaching here said. Now, in their next group matches, boys shall take on Manipur while girls shall be playing against Delhi tomorrow. Both boys and girls teams are taking part in the competition under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS). The teams are being accompanied by Vishal Bharti and Harvinder Kour as incharge. |
