| | Samba police arrested 5 car thieves | | | JAMMU, Nov 29: Acting swiftly on the theft reports of 3 Maruti Cars from the Bari-Brahmna area today, Samba Police apprehended 5 accused persons.
Reports said after receiving reports of theft,Police Team headed by Inspector Arun Jamwal, SHO Police station Bari-Brahmna under the direct supervision of Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma,SP Samba and SM Jangral, Dy. SP SDPO Bari-Brahmna arrrested Anil Bahadur son of Krishna Bahadur Resident of Rama Shah, Nepal, Hakik Ahmed son of Jalis Ahmed resident of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh , Pappu Kumar son of Suresh Kumar Resident of Patna, Bihar, Anil Bahadur son of Dil Bahadur resident of Kkathmandu, Nepal, all at present residents of SIDCO complex, Bari-brahmna and Manu Kumar son of Rakesh Gupta resident of Kothmorh, Bari-Brahmna and on their disclosure recovered all the 3 stolen Maruti Cars bearing Registration Nos. JK02-3221, JK08-6969 & JK02H-8238. On this Case FIR No. 121/2012 u/s 379 RPC P/S Bari-Brahmna was registered and investigation started.
In addition to above, Samba Police headed by Sub Inspector Suresh Goutam, Incharge PP SIDCO under the supervision of Munish Anand, Dy. SP HQ Samba in its continuous drive against the drug menace nabbed notorious narcotic smuggler namely Sandeep Singh @ Koda son of Harnam singh resident of W. NO. 3, Samba and recovered 27 grams of Charas from his possession. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 235/2012 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Samba and investigation started.
Besides, 03 persons while driving vehicles violated traffic rules challaned under M.V Act by SHO P/S Ghagwal and 02 persons while driving vehicles violated traffic rules challaned under M.V Act by SHO P/S Bari-Brahmna. |
