J&K Volleyball team leave for Khelo India Youth Games

JAMMMU, Jan 10: J&K Volleyball Boys team under 17 age group has qualified among seven best adjudged teams of India for participation in 2nd Edition of Khelo India Youth Games 2019.
A contingent of 15 players/officials of the state was seen off by the office-bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K/Volleyball lovers at Jammu Railway station today evening for their participation in this 7-day Mega National event commencing at Pune, Maharashtra from January 14 to 20 . According to Kuldip Magotra Chief Executive officer ( VAJK) in the team wise event, J&K state has been incorporated in Volleyball game only owing to excellent performance/ranking of our Boys Volleyball team in 40th Sub-Junior National Volleyball championship held at,Rajasthan during the year 2017-2018.

J&K team is placed in POOL-A and will play their matches against Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mohd tariq and Naresh Sharma are accompanying the team as coaches.
The team: Shabir Ahmed, of Baramulla district, Shahid Majeed of Baramulla district, Umer Majeed of Baramulla district, Himanshu Sharma of Jammu district, Imtiaz Ahmed of Poonch district, Touseeb Abass of Poonch district, Rahul Verma of kathua, Basharat Hussain of Poonch, Danish Gul of Srinagar, Vipan Kumar of Jammu , Varun Badyal of kathua and Sahil Sharma of Jammu.
